Math Club

Math Club runs the entire school year and meets every Thursday from 3:15-4:00pm in Mr. Bliss's room. There are still slots available to any 4th or 5th grade students interested in joining. It is a great club that gives students the chance to learn new math concepts and practice skills that are already in place. There are competitions throughout the year where kids can show off their math talents so if you are interested make sure to let Mr. Bliss know.

K Kids

K-Kids is the newest and fastest growing service organization for elementary students worldwide.  This “student-led” community service organization operates under school regulations.  Today K-Kids exists in Canada, Jamaica, the Philippines, and the United States.

K-Kids is unique because a Kiwanis club, composed of the leading business and professional people of the community, serves as the club’s sponsor.  K-Kids work with positive adult role models and participate in group activities that provide the opportunity to develop positive self-esteem, listening and speaking skills, leadership abilities, and respect for elders, peers, community, and country.

Jefferson invites all 4th and 5th grade students to participate in K-Kids.  They work together on various projects to serve school and community.   Meetings will be held twice per month during lunch on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday.

The K-Kids Pledge: “As a K-Kid, I promise to serve my neighborhood and my school; I will show respect for my environment; and I will try to make the world a better place in which to live.”
