Thrift store opens thanks to positive partnership (photo gallery)

A thrift store to serve Hanford High School students opened this week thanks to the efforts of Communities in Schools, HHS DECA, and Home Depot:

  • Home Depot employees volunteered their time to install racks and shelving in an old janitorial closet.
  • DECA students organized the hundreds of clothing items and shoes.
  • DECA students staff the Falcon Finds store on Wednesdays 7:20 to 7:45 am, and 2:30 to 3:00 pm.
  • Items are priced from $.25 - $2.00; any proceeds will go to the DECA program.
  • Community members wishing to donate new or gently used clothing & shoes to Falcon Finds can do so by dropping off items at the HHS main office.

“Thank you to Communities in Schools and Richland Home Depot workers for helping Falcon Finds become a reality,” said Teresa Shively, HHS DECA advisor.
