A number of advanced art students from Hanford High School entered original art pieces in The Endangered Fine Art & Photography Contest. According to organizers, the juried contest focuses attention on all that is endangered in the world. Each entry is a reflection on “endangered” as it applies to animal or plant species, the environment, or the natural world.

All proceeds support the Center for Great Apes. The Center for Great Apes’ mission is to provide a permanent sanctuary for orangutans and chimpanzees who have been rescued or retired from the entertainment industry, from research, or who are no longer wanted as pets.
