The Hanford High School varsity cheer squad are state champions. The Falcons earned First Place in the Super Large Tumbling Division at the WIAA Washington State Cheer Championship January 26 in Vancouver. It is the program’s eighth state title under the leadership of coach Kim Mayer.

The HHS squad is now in Orlando, Florida, for the National High School Cheerleading Championship where they are competing Saturday and Sunday (February 10-11) in several competitions: Game Day, Traditional, and Worlds. The junior varsity squad is also competing at nationals.

“These girls have an amazing work ethic and competitive spirit,” says Mayer. “I am blessed to have them as well as my great assistant coaches and incredibly supportive parents.”

These HHS student-athletes carry a 3.23 team GPA.
