Destination Imagination teams qualify for Global Finals

Congratulations to three Richland School District Destination Imagination teams that have qualified for the Destination Imagination Global Finals May 22-26 in Knoxville, Tennessee. The three teams earned top finishes at the Washington State DI tournament March 24 in Wenatchee:

  • Daring Dragons 2.0 - Lewis & Clark, Orchard, White Bluffs, First Place
  • Oh, I Get it Too! - Leona Libby Middle School, First Place
  • Wild West Wolves - White Bluffs Elementary School, Second Place

Daring Dragons 2.0 - Marisa Dunfee, Austin Dunfee, Sarah Trigg, Dylan Trigg, and Caemlyn Singley.

Oh, I Get it Too! - Rebecca Graves, Ella Johnson, Brock Walker, Trent Walker, Ben Higbee, Sahir Tandon, and Jaxon Larsen.

Wild West Wolves - Jordan Jelinek, Joel Appel, Elizabeth Cohen, Eva Nielson, Brooklyn Butler, and Sophia Vitali.

Destination Imagination helps young people build skills in creative and critical thinking, teamwork, time management and problem solving. Up to seven participants work together as a team for eight to twelve weeks to create their unique solution to a Team Challenge, which can have a focus that is theatrical, structural, improvisational, scientific or technical - or a blend of several disciplines.
