Weekend Meals Being Added To Student Meal Assistance

Weekend Meals Being Added To Student Meal Assistance

Richland School District has provided more than 100,000 meals to students since buildings were closed in mid-March. Now the district is enhancing the Student Meal Assistance program so students can eat every day of the week.

Additional food items for students to eat through a weekend will begin being distributed on Fridays beginning April 24. This will include a quart of milk and frozen food items to reheat and a short instruction sheet will be included. Friday's meal and weekend products along with the milk will fit in a standard backpack for walkers and riders and students at bus stops.

These meals are FREE and open to all children in our district.
