To our Richland High community,
At 10:40 a.m. on Sept. 18, school administrators received information about threats being made against Richland High School in a text message. A student who allegedly made the threats was identified and the school placed in lockdown until the student could be located and removed from the school.
The Richland Police Department was notified and they have taken the student into custody. The student has also been emergency expelled.
We want our community to know that we take all threats seriously and thoroughly investigate them. We encourage students and community members to act as soon as possible by reporting any threats or safety concerns to the police or school administrators.
