Seasoned School Administrator Selected To Lead Jason Lee Elementary

Richland School District is pleased to announce that Chad Foltz has been selected as the new principal of Jason Lee Elementary School beginning in the 2023-24 school year.

Mr. Foltz, currently the principal at Amon Creek Elementary School in Kennewick, replaces Jason Lee Elementary principal Debbie Whitney, who will be retiring at the end of the 2022-23 school year.

With 21 years of school administration experience, 15 of which was at the elementary level, Mr. Foltz has a proven, successful track record of overseeing highly successful school programs. He has earned several accolades for his work as an administrator including Kennewick School District Administrator of the Year in 2019 and Lake Wallula Regional Principal of the year in 2018.

“Mr. Foltz is an outstanding instruction systems leader with skills in positive school culture development and relational leadership,” says Assistant Superintendent of Student Services Brian Moore.

His previous experience includes principal at Cascade Elementary from 2008-2018 and seven years of teaching experience prior to his work in administration.

“My goal is to make Jason Lee Elementary a high achieving school that will provide academically rigorous, meaningful and positive experiences for ALL students,” says Mr. Foltz.

Mr. Foltz earned his bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education K-8 from Washington State University. He also holds two master’s degrees in Education—Professional Development and School Administration—from Heritage University.
