For the third year in a row a Richland School District staff member will be one of nine individuals considered for the Washington State Classified School Employee Of The Year.
Educational Service District 123, which serves Tri-City area and other south central and southeastern Washington school districts, recently selected paraeducator Nan Duncan as its nominee for 2023.
RSD nominated Ms. Duncan, who works as a special education paraeducator in the Structured Program at Richland High School, for the state award earlier this year.
Ms. Duncan grew up in Richland schools and her own children graduated from Richland High School. She joined the district in the 1988-89 school year and has spent the past 34 years supporting RSD students receiving special education services.
