Richland High School's Tara Parker named RSD's 2025 Classified Staff of the Year

RSD is proud to announce that Tara Parker, receptionist at Richland High School, has been named the district’s 2025 Classified Staff of the Year. 

Tara has been a part of the Bomber Family since 2017, and during that time, she’s become so much more than just the school’s receptionist, she’s the heart of the building. For years, and especially over the past two and a half years as the school navigated leadership changes, Tara has been the steady, reliable presence that students, staff, and families could always count on. 

Whether she’s helping a student find their way, supporting staff with whatever they need, or offering a warm greeting to families walking through the door, Tara does it all with kindness, patience, and an incredible attention to detail. She’s the person everyone turns to for guidance, support, and solutions. 

“Tara is the center of our school,” said Richland High School Principal Nicole Anderson. “She is the glue that holds everything together.” 

But what truly sets Tara apart is the way she cares for people, not just as students, parents, or coworkers, but as individuals. She’s always checking in to make sure everyone is okay, offering a snack to a hungry student, or simply listening when someone needs to talk. Her warmth and compassion create a sense of belonging that defines what it means to be part of the Richland High community. 

Tara’s impact is everywhere you look — in the smooth running of the front office, in the relationships she’s built with students and staff, and in the welcoming atmosphere she’s helped create.
