Marcus Whitman 5th Grader Inducted into AAA School Safety Patrol Hall of Fame

In recognition of her dedication to traffic safety, community stewardship and leadership, Aubrie Kartchner, a 5th grade student at Marcus Whitman Elementary, was recently chosen for induction into the 2024 AAA School Safety Patrol Hall of Fame!

“Aubrie is good at noticing problems and providing solutions,” said School Safety Patrol Advisor, Tanya Olson. “Aubrie enjoys talking to the kids that are crossing about the importance of following safety procedures and why they are important. She takes pride in educating the younger students about safety and takes her role as captain of our school’s safety patrol very seriously.”

The AAA School Safety Patrol Hall of Fame has a long-standing tradition in the state. Ten students from across the state of Washington are chosen annually from a panel of judges from AAA Washington, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction, the Evergreen Safety Council, and the Washington Traffic Safety Commission.

Congratulations, Aubrie!
