Jefferson Elementary Recognized For High Student Achievement, Improving Performance

Jefferson Elementary will be among 31 schools in the state taking part in a study looking at how they are helping students be successful in the classroom.

All the schools in the study are at the top in student achievement and improving performance among Black, Latinx, American Indian/Alaskan Native and/or low-income students according to data from The Center for Educational Effectiveness (CEE).

The study, paid for by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, aims to learn how those schools’ programs and practices create environments where students can be successful and share them with educators across the country. CEE officials will interview school staff and administrators for the study to learn about the details of their efforts, with a final report out in the fall of 2020.
