HHS Teacher Wins 2024 All-American High School Film Festival Teacher of the Year Award

The Richland School District is thrilled to announce that Hanford High School broadcasting teacher Cheyenne LaViolette has been honored with the Teacher of the Year Award at the 2024 All-American High School Film Festival (AAHSFF), the world’s largest student film festival. This award recognizes LaViolette’s extraordinary impact in advancing students’ education in the fields of film and broadcasting, and her dedication to fostering meaningful learning experiences for students in a global community of aspiring filmmakers.

LaViolette was selected from a pool of highly accomplished educators for her inspiring commitment to elevating educational standards in the film and broadcast realm.
