Why Get Vaccinated?

Vaccination against COVID-19 is key to bringing the pandemic under control and protecting communities from the novel coronavirus. While no vaccine is 100 percent effective, the Pfizer vaccine has prevented serious illness that can lead to hospitalization or death.

Per Washington Department of Health guidance, fully vaccinated individuals* also are not required to quarantine after exposure to individuals who have COVID-19. This means fully vaccinated students will not need to stay home from school or activities if exposed to the novel coronavirus.
