Hanford High School Swimmer Wins Gold At State
Meet the newest state champion from Hanford High School!
Junior Regan Geldmacher earned gold in the 500-yard freestyle at the WIAA Swim & Dive Championship in Federal Way. She also took third-place in the 200-yard freestyle at the meet.
Her performance at the state meet was a great way to end her season. Regan qualified for the state championships by winning districts in the 200-yard and 500-yard freestyle events, setting a new meet record in the latter. At the conference level, she earned first-team honors and was named Swimmer of the Year by the Mid-Columbia Conference. The Hanford High swim & dive team was the conference team champion this season.
