Richland School District is proud to announce that Hanford High School students Emma Yuan, Tiffany Qian, and Sophia Chen earned second place in the world in the Entrepreneurship – International Business Plan category at the prestigious 2025 DECA International Career Development Conference (ICDC), held April 25–30 in Orlando, Florida.
Competing against over 26,000 DECA members—and tens of thousands more who did not qualify for this elite level—Emma, Tiffany, and Sophia showcased world-class dedication, innovation, and teamwork. This prestigious accomplishment reflects the strength of Hanford High’s business education programs and the incredible drive of its students to lead on a global stage.
“Emma, Tiffany, and Sophia's placing second in the world at ICDC reflects not only their extraordinary work ethic and talent but also the strength of our academic and career-focused programs,” said Hanford High DECA Advisor Allyn Griffin. “It’s a reminder of what’s possible when students are empowered to think globally, collaborate effectively, and pursue excellence.”
This international recognition places Hanford High School, and the entire RSD community, firmly on the global DECA map, inspiring future generations of student leaders in business and beyond.
