Hanford And Richland High School Students Named National Merit Semifinalists

Join the district in congratulating four high school students named National Merit Semifinalists for 2020.

Richland High School seniors Alana Cho and Zoe Gotthold and Hanford High School seniors Joshua Peterson and Jason Zhong earned the recognition by being among the highest scorers on the PSAT in the state and among the top 1 percent of those who took the test in their class.

All have big plans for their futures and now wait to see if they are named Finalists later this year and eligible for a National Merit scholarship.

Fourteen other students from Hanford and Richland high schools and an RSD student attending Delta High School were named National Merit Commended Students for their high performance on the PSAT:
