Join us in congratulating Aliyah Kendall for creating the cover art for the 2023-24 district calendar!
Aliyah created her artwork as a fifth grader at Marcus Whitman Elementary using watercolors and ink. Her piece is a beautiful depiction of the sun setting behind the blue bridge painted in muted tones of blues, greens, oranges and yellows.
As part of her celebration for winning the cover contest, Aliyah was treated to a special lunch with Marcus Whitman Assistant Principal Calvin Chunn, Superintendent Dr. Shelley Redinger and a school friend of her choice.
Well done, Aliyah! You are an extremely talented artist with a bright future!
