Griggs ACE Hardware Honored for Outstanding Support of Students!

Congratulations to Griggs ACE Hardware Richland on receiving the Community Service Award of Merit, Outstanding Employer from Washington State’s Career Counseling & Employment Readiness section of WA-ACTE/WA Association of Career & Technical Education.

This award recognizes Griggs ACE’s exceptional commitment to Career & Technical Education (CTE) Worksite Learning partnerships that promote job readiness skills for students. For 16 years, Griggs ACE has been a valued partner in RSD’s Worksite Learning Transition Program, providing more than 20 students with meaningful work experience. The program itself is a successful collaboration between our Special Education Department and CTE Department.

During the award presentation, Jeff Nessbaum, Griggs ACE Richland Manager, was honored by Hanford High School Worksite Learning student Peyton. Also joining was Casey Hamilton, a current ACE employee of 9 years who got his start in HHS’s Worksite Learning Program a decade ago and was hired upon graduation.

Peyton shared:

“I really like going to work at ACE. The ACE employees are friendly, and they are teaching me interesting things about having a job. I’m learning the importance of teamwork.”

Thank you, Jeff, and the entire Griggs ACE Hardware team. Your commitment makes a difference in the lives of our students and our community!
