We’re preparing to bring more students back into our schools for in-person learning in the new year. Join our team as a substitute teacher or paraeducator and help engage and inspire students as they return to our classrooms.
- Substitute Teacher — requires bachelor’s degree and active Washington state teacher certification. Daily work is not guaranteed though long-term and multiple day assignments are frequently available. Pay of $135 per day with potential for higher pay and benefits for long-term classroom placements that last 20 days or more.
- Emergency Substitute Teacher — requires bachelor’s degree, ability to obtain emergency Washington state teacher certification and completion of the district’s Emergency Substitute Training Program. Daily work is not guaranteed. Pay of $135 per day.
- Substitute Paraeducator — requires high school diploma or GED. Daily work is not guaranteed. Pay of $15.23 per hour.
- Assigned Substitute Paraeducator — requires high school diploma or GED. Daily work at assigned school guaranteed through June 15, 2020. Pay of $15.23 per hour for the first 30 work days, $16.92 per hour for each workday after and eligible for benefits.
