Inclusion means more than just having students of different abilities and talents in the same classroom; it means each of those students is able to fully engage in the learning that is occurring, regardless of their ability.
Our next Parent Education Forum at 6 p.m. on May 26 via Zoom will be centered around how our move toward co-teaching is aimed at helping each student succeed.
Co-teaching pairs teachers up so that each has role in helping students grow and meet goals in the classroom. Richland High language arts classes as well as River’s Edge High School. Come learn how co-teaching is already serving RSD students and our plans for implementation in our other schools.
Learning and engagement opportunities such as these forums are just one of the ways the district is seeking to move on the recommendations crafted by the Special Education Task Force during the 2019-20 school year.
