Emergency Procedures
Richland School District uses the Standard Response Protocol (SRP), created by the "I Love U Guys" Foundation, a simplified, action-based crisis response that helps staff, students, parents and first responders to quickly and adequately respond to crisis situations.
The “I Love U Guys” Foundation’s programs for crisis response and post-crisis reunification are used in more than 50,000 schools, districts, departments, agencies, organizations and communities around the world. They are created through the research-based best practices of first responders, psychologists, public space safety experts, and school personnel. The change to use SRP was made to better align RSD practices with local law enforcement and guidance by FEMA.
