Policy 4323 - Public Performances

Students may perform as representatives of the district, a school, or other district organization, including performances in traditional musical events during holiday season, with the approval of the principal. A school-sponsored group shall not, however, perform in a worship or other religious service other than a baccalaureate service. 

The activity, program, performance, or contest shall have educational value consistent with the goals and objectives of the district. Participation shall not result in exploitation of or liability to the student, school, or district. Students shall not receive any remuneration for performing as representatives of the school or district.
