Policy 4310 - Solicitation Among Employees

The district recognizes and participates in the “United Way” fund raising for charitable and civic purposes. The district also participates in the program for the sale of U.S. Savings Bonds. No other solicitations may be conducted among district employees during work hours, either by employees or non-employees. Any exception to this policy requires approval of the board of directors. 

No employee shall be coerced in any manner to participate in any campaign. 

Within definitions of this policy, “solicitations” include organized requests for donations or contributions and the sale of books, magazines, stocks, insurance, lottery tickets or any similar material not related to the profession.
