Volunteer Organizations
(Booster Clubs, Parent Groups & PTO/PTA/PTSA/PTSO Groups)
Richland School District’s insurance coverage can extend to volunteer organizations, to individual volunteers, and to the equipment owned by the volunteer organization.
The requirements for RSD’s insurance to be extended to Volunteer Organizations, to individual volunteers, and to volunteer organization-owned equipment are as follows:
- Volunteer organization must be approved by the Richland School District;
- Activities of the volunteer organization must be appropriate and approved by the Richland School District;
- Individual volunteers must act within the scope of their duties as a volunteer organization member and must be under the direction of a Richland School District Administrator;
- Volunteer organization-owned equipment must be approved and be on file with the Richland School District;
- Volunteer organization-owned equipment is covered only if equipment is used to support Richland School District approved activities.

- (e.g., popcorn poppers, hot dog machines, 4-wheelers)
- Auto Liability & Physical Damage Insurance
- (e. g., trailers only)
Coverage Not Available
- Money/Bond Coverage
- (e.g., theft of money)
- Auto Coverage for Pickups, Trucks & Automobiles
- (includes all licensed for the road vehicles owned by the volunteer organization or personal vehicles used for volunteer projects other than trailers)
