Procedure 1120 - Election of Officers
The election of officers shall occur according to the following procedures:
- A quorum of members must be present and voting.
- No proxy votes will be allowed.
- Members will be asked to state whether they agree to be considered for the office of president.
- Each member will draw a number to determine the sequence of voting.
- The member with the lowest number will orally declare the name of the person he/she prefers as president.
- Other members will declare in numeric order.
- The person receiving a majority of the vote shall be deemed elected.
- In the absence of a majority for one candidate, board members will ballot again for one of the two candidates receiving the greatest number of votes on the initial ballot.
- An identical procedure shall be employed in the selection of vice president and legislative representative.
