Bonds

New and rebuilt schools and facilities, as well as some building renovations and improvements, are paid for through ballot measures supported by the community. Below are completed bond projects.

2017 Bond

In February 2017, our community approved a $99 million bond issue to build new schools, replace existing schools and make other facility improvements across our district. The bond also allowed the district to apply for about $42 million in state assistance dollars to augment the community's contributions. 

2017 Bond Election Resolution

Early Learning Center

This project is a renovation of the 1982 wing of the old Jefferson Elementary into a space serving the district's Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP) and developmental preschool. The renovations will take place over several years.

2013 Bond

In February 2013, voters approved a $98 million bond to rebuild several schools, construct two new schools and complete several other capital projects around the district.

2003 Bond

In April 2003, Richland School District voters approved a bond issue to improve Richland High School, Hanford High School and Jason Lee Elementary School; build a new middle school and a new elementary school.
