You can use the online forms to submit information online or download the form, fill out and return to RSD Nutrition Services at 701 Stevens Drive in Richland.

CEP is a federal program in which all enrolled students at the listed schools below receive breakfast and lunch at no cost. This is not the same as being qualified for free meals; rather the student is not charged for their meals. Under CEP meals are free to enrolled students, but a la cart items remain full price. This includes milk for students who bring lunch from home - milk will still be $0.50.

Students at these schools may submit a Child Nutrition Eligibility & Education Benefit Application in order to receive fee waivers, or to be eligible for Sun Bucks (summer 2025) EBT benefits.  If your application is denied, it will not affect your student’s ability to receive no-cost meals at their CEP school. 

For the 2024-25 school year these RSD schools will participate in CEP: 

Approval for automatic free meals began on Friday, August 2, 2024. Students may be automatically approved for free meals if they receive SNAP or TANF benefits, or if they are migrant or foster students.  Students who receive Medicaid benefits may be approved for either free or reduced meals. Some Medicaid recipients are not eligible for direct certification.

Nutrition Services sent out emails to families who have students who are automatically approved for direct certification. These families do not need to fill out the Child Nutrition Eligibility & Education Benefit Application, but DO need to submit a Consent to Share form to receive fee waivers for sports, ASB events, Chromebook insurance or summer school. These forms need to be submitted yearly, before you are charged fees.

Standard schools charge full price for all meals unless students have been qualified for free or reduced-price meals via direct certification or the application.

If your student has a medically-certified disability that requires a change or substitution to the posted menu, please fill out the Request For Special Dietary Accommodations form and provide to your school nurse.  The school nurse and RSD Director of Nutrition Services will review your form to make accommodations. A copy of this form will be kept with the school nurse, school kitchen and at the Nutrition Service Department office.  The school nurse may route it further if needed. 

All Request for Special Dietary Accommodation forms must include the signature of a state-recognized medical authority (state-licensed health care professionals authorized to write medical prescriptions under state law). These include health professionals with one of the following credentials:

• Medical Doctor (MD)
• Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
• Physician’s Assistant (PA) with prescriptive authority
• Naturopathic Physician
• Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP)

The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
