Work to determine the best approach to securing main entrances at schools across the district is underway so improvements can begin as early as this summer.

District staff and contractors are preparing to install external security cameras and new door access controls and security badge readers at most RSD schools in the coming months.

Students and school staff provided helpful insight to the Capital Projects team and architectural consultant firm, NAC, as they met to kick off the design of projects connected to the Safety & Security Capital Projects Levy, which included considerations for a future third high school.
