		President's Message Officers Meeting Minutes Boxtop Info COMMITTEES PTA Volunteers - we have a number of activities going on this spring and need a few more hands to make it all happen: Events/Activities for Spring 2008 Talent Show: Show typically takes place in Feb or March. We need a Chairperson or Co-Chairs to take on this wonderful event! Things to do would include: setting a date, get students to sign up, organize a “preview” night, work with a music director to set up show sound system, make program! We have volunteers ready to help make this a wonderful event! Book Fair: Will occur in March, we have co-chairs for this event! It occurs over the course of a week or two and we need volunteers to work various shifts during the school day and in the evenings on select dates. Volunteers are needed to run cash register and help students find/select books. Grandparents/Special Friends Day: One day event in May encourages school involvement between kids and a special friend. We need a chairperson to follow simple instructions for the planning and operation of this event, utilizing volunteers at their request. Students really enjoy this event! Bike Safety Rodeo: www.bicyclinglife.com/SafetySkills/BicycleRodeo.htm Event held during May in conjunction with the National Bike Safety Coalition. A course is painted in our parking lot. We need a chairperson to organize and score individual stations the day of this event. We have volunteers willing to help! Staff Appreciation Day: Occurs in May. This event is a way we like to honor and thank the people who spend every day promoting the well being of our children. There are ideas from past events, or come up with your own. We have a chairperson for this event, who will need volunteers to come up with creative ways to show our appreciation and set up/decorate for the actual day! You can contribute a little or a lot of time to this event, it’s up to you! Yearbook: We have a year-round need for helpers with this event! This is not a fundraising event; it’s simply for the enjoyment of our students! We have a Chairperson for this, who could use some help pulling it all together.
