Our Mission

The mission of River's Edge High School is to provide a unique education with an emphasis on school transition. We envision River's Edge High School as a safe, caring educational environment in which opportunities are provided for students to:

  • Develop a solid foundation of basic
    academic skills,
  • Develop confidence in their ability to learn, create, think, and work with others,
  • Accept and respond to personal, family, and community responsibilities,
  • Become increasingly proficient and
    productive individuals,
  • Develop healthy, active lifestyles, and
  • Become people who adapt with ease to a changing global society.

From our Principal

Principle Dan Chubb River’s Edge High School is an alternative high school in the Richland School District. River’s Edge places an emphasis on providing an educational opportunity for students that are not having success in the traditional high school setting. Students enrolled in the Richland School District interested in attending River’s Edge High must apply for admittance or be referred from the home school before being accepted into a River’s Edge program. Students outside of the district may apply and may be accepted as space is available. There is a full-day campus program as well as semi-independent study options. Graduation requirements and course standards are the same as those at other Richland high schools.

Superintendent Search - community invited to complete survey

Northwest Leadership Associates is conducting the search for a new superintendent for the Richland School District. The first step in that process is asking community members to complete a brief survey. Responses to the questions will assist the Richland School Board and NLA in selecting the next superintendent.
