Tech Prep College Credits
Tech Prep is a statewide dual-credit program which allows high school students to earn high school and college credit at the same time. In the Richland School District these credits do not have a fee attached!
To be eligible for Tech Prep Credit from Walla Walla Community College (WWCC) you must: · Be currently enrolled in Consumer Economics class at RHS. · Have at least an 85% average in class assignments that address the four competencies shared by the Consumer Economics class and WWCC Goal 1- Demonstrate awareness of job/career opportunities in the student's chosen occupation. Goal 2 - Demonstrate knowledge of personal skills gained through work experience, classroom instruction and other training that will apply to your future work. Goal 3 - Develop an application, formal resume, and support documentation required for successful job search. Goal 4 - Demonstrate ability to successfully prepare for and complete a job interview with a prospective employer. · Complete an application form in class. · Create an account and register for class at http://www.sers.techprepwa.org
To be eligible for Tech Prep Credit from Columbia Basin College you must: · Be currently enrolled in an approved high school Career and Technical Education class and achieve an 85% or better class grade for each semester enrolled. · Complete an application form in class. · Create an account and register for class at http://www.sers.techprepwa.org
