October Book Parade - October 31 at 1:00: for all students that meet their October reading goal (talk with teachers about specific goals). Students can dress as their favorite book character and participate in our all school parade. We ask that all students bring the book that shows their character. Only students that have achieved their monthly reading goal will participate. So Read, Read, Read!! Remember...book characters from books they have read. We are trying to stay away from purely a Halloween style costume day. Also no weapons, inappropriate themes or scary masks that would frighten young children.
Volunteers Needed! We just started our Jr. Jogger program at Marcus Whitman. Jr. Joggers will run every Friday during lunch recess. Students can earn "jogger charms" as they finish laps each week. We are looking for a few parents to volunteer each Friday between 11:00 - 1:00. If you would be interested in helping, please contact the office at 967-6300.
