Parent Resources/Library Catalog

Parents of 3-5 year old preschoolers, come join us for READY! for Kindergarten:  Parents are children's most powerful teachers.  The READY! for Kindergarten program is designed to help parent participants prepare children with the early learning skills needed to start and stay at grade level throughout their scholastic career.  And it's free!  With Ready! for Kindergarten you plant the seeds for success in school and a lifelong love of learning for your child in simple ways that foster essential pre-literacy, pre-math and social-emotional skills.  Free childcare will be provided.  Register at Marcus Whitman office.

Read-A-Thon:  Our students have pledged to complete at least 10 reading sessions and are competing to raise money and log reading minutes.  Please click here to sponsor our school or an individual student.  Thanks for your support!

Cold Weather Information:  Cold Mornings...If the temperature gets below 20 degrees in the morning, we will line students up for class inside the school to keep everyone warm.  Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd graders will sit in the hallways and wait for their teacher.  The 3rd, 4th and 5th graders will wait in the gym.

If we have a late start or school is canceled because of snow or ice, there are several places to gain that information each morning.

  • District website:
  • Local TV morning news programs
  • Local radio stations

If we have a two hour late start, school will begin for students at 10:40.  All before-school activities will be canceled and no breakfast served.  There will be NO morning kindergarten on late start days.
