What is a Lewis and Clark Elementary V.I.P ?
We all know that a V.I.P is a very important person. At Lewis and Clark Elementary that important person is our Volunteering In-classroom Parent, who is a person that shares his or her time to help out in the classroom.

What do I have to do ?
As a “Volunteering In-classroom Parent,” you give students an extra edge at success by additional learning support in their classroom. Volunteers help out an individual or small group of students with subjects such as reading, writing, math, sciences, arts and classroom projects.

How much time do I have to give ?
It can be 45 minutes a week, a couple of hours each month, or as much time as you can give. Any amount of time is very valuable to our students.

What if help is needed in an a subject that I am not familiar with ?
The subject or project that you would be assisting with will be outlined by the teacher and any necessary material provided. Making it possible for you to jump right in and help at anytime with no special pre-training.

Do I have to be a parent of a child attending Lewis and Clark Elementary ?
Volunteers come in every form: community volunteers, guardians, grandparents, aunts and uncles, anyone willing to spend time to make a difference is a V.I.P!

How Do I Sign-up to be a Lewis and Clark Elementary V.I.P ?
Click here for a volunteer profile form, simply fill it out and e-mail it to vip01@charter.net or leave your profile at the Lewis & Clark school office. Once your profile is received a V.I.P coordinator will be in contact with you to set-up a match in a classroom.
