GATE Parent Night Presentation

It is time once again to consider referring students currently in
grades 2, 3 and 4 who might educationally benefit by participation in
the district's program for the highly capable.

NEW THIS YEAR . . . 5th Grade students (not currently in the GATE
program) will be assessed for middle school placement. Anyone may refer a child. Please ask your school counselor for the GATE referral permission forms.

The GATE testing is scheduled for:

TBA

Students attend both testing days at their home school. The completed packet should be returned to the building counselor by TBA.

GATE parent meeting on TBA:

Elementary Meeting (2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades) at 6:00pm
Middle School Meeting (5th grade) at 7:00pm

Both meetings will take place at Lewis & Clark Elementary school in the gym. Elementary parents are welcome to stay for the middle school meeting. The purpose of these meetings is to go over GATE timeline, gather parent input, and answer questions.
