The Early Release Scheduled for 4/18 has been moved back one week to 4/25 to accommodate the mandated WASL Testing Schedule.

The daily testing window has been increased to 3 hours this year to allow students more time to finish the test rather than moving students to another location to finish the test and therefore miss class time. Bring something to work on or something to read if you finish your test early.

WASL Testing Information - Please read carefully - Testing locations and further schedule information will be posted as it becomes available.

• WASL testing will begin Monday, March 10 at 7:55 with two days of Reading. Writing is March 12 and 13.


• Testing time is from 7:55-10:45 each day.

• Students should bring homework, reading material, etc.x to keep busy if they finish before 10:45.

• Lunch begins at 10:50.

• If a student needs time beyond 10:45, he/she is to report x to the upstairs library, where the students will be met by a staff member and escorted in a group to lunch, which will x be eaten in the library. Students who need extra time are NOT allowed to go to
lunch with the rest of the student population and then return to work on the test. This is a new policy this year.

 

x • Students will be tested in Language Arts class x x groups, as in previous years. The locations will be x available Wednesday to be shared with students.

x • Seniors who must test will report to Room 1009, x last names A-L; or 704, last names M-Z.

x • Juniors will test with their American Lit teacher, x Ms. McKee or Mrs. Belgard.

x • All Sophomores must test, unless they passed a x section or sections last year.

x • All Freshmen are registered to test. Freshmen x x who are not testing will report to Mrs. Wiles in x x the Commons by 7:55.
