High School DECA members pride themselves on a high level of
commitment and achievement. Most members balance DECA with a
variety of other student activities in both school and the
community. HHS members have coordinated several community service
projects since the beginning of the school year and have also
implemented exciting new fundraisers that provide something new and
different to HHS.
DECA has been influencing the lives of
high school students for over 55 years. First established in
1946, Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) aimed to
provide additional marketing-related educational and career
opportunities to students. Since it's beginning, DECA has
remained on the cutting edge of education and
technology.
DECA has grown to include not only the United
States and Canada, but also Puerto Rico, Guam, Germany, and
more. With over 180,000 members, DECA is one of the premier
student leadership organizations in the United States. Members
have the opportunity to not only develop their leadership skills,
but also compete for over $500,000 in
scholarships.
