GOALS
Number of students meeting standard in math
•The number of
students passing the math portion of the WASL has gone from 59.9% in 2001 to
51.4% in 2003

students not meeting the standard in math will decrease by 25% over the next 3
years utilizing the 2003 WASL data.
Number of students meeting standard in Reading

•The number of
students passing the reading portion of the WASL has gone from 76.7% in 2000 to
70.1% in 2003

Goal Established:
•To provide a
strong, organized freshman transition program with the involvement of mentors
and staff by the beginning of the 2005-2006 school year.
The purchase and maintenance of new technology for Hanford
High School, especially as it relates to district and building technology goals
in light of the new remodel of Hanford High School.
Supporting Data:
•The “Nine
Characteristics” survey shows that teachers are concerned about HHS providing a
supportive learning environment

show that students, parents and teachers fee that school’s facilities are
inadequate to support the instructional program
Goal Established:
•By the end of the
HHS remodel, appropriate technology will be available to provide increased
educational opportunities to support students and staff.
Culminating project requirements include involvement in activities, leadership and teamwork
