Habits of Successful Students...

  1. Makes time, every night, to do assignments
    • Quiet location
    • Good lighting
    • Has supplies (pencils, paper, ruler, etc.) to accomplish assignments
    • Parents available to answer questions
  2. Communicates for self
    • Asks questions of teachers
    • Asks questions of parent(s)/relative(s)
    • Expresses confusion to teachers (at appropriate times)
    • Goes over handbook with parents every night.
  3. Makes time to be organized
    • Writes classwork (CW) and homework (HW) in day planner.
    • Goes over the notes in the day planner in the evening before starting homework.
    • Plans out tasks needed to be completed by deadlines.
    • Communicates with parent(s)/guardian(s) of timelines
  4. Completes work
    • Doing the work is 1/2 of the job...turning it in on time results in success!
