Softball Head Coach: Bryan McGeorge SOFTBALL RULES
2. The season is not to start before the Monday following the last scheduled week of the Winter II sports season. 3. Regulation fast pitch rules and 12" softball will be used. 4. A pitcher is not limited to seven (7) innings during a calendar week such as with baseball. 5. A player shall participate in no more than (3) softball games per week. 6. Game time is 4:00 p.m. 7. Bases will be 60 feet; the pitching rubber will be 40 feet from home plate. 8. W.I.A.A. changed from ASA to National Federation for 1990-91. The National Federation Rule Book with W.I.A.A. inserts applies. 9. After five runs are scored per inning the side that is up shall retire and go to the outfield. 10. Metal cleats are not permitted.
12. All suited players must play. 13. There will be a 1 hour and 40 minute time limit on all games. It is also recommended that the speed-up rule be used for the catcher. 14. Only the losing coach can call an unlimited inning and this can only be done after 1 hr and 15 minutes of play. In the event of a tie, either coach can call an open inning. 15. "B"-teams
allowed open substitution - everyone bats throughout the game. Equal playing
