08/28/2017

The Richland School District's fourth middle school is officially open as Leona Libby staff welcomed students and parents for Orientation Day on Monday. The sixth, seventh, and eighth graders picked up schedules, met their teachers, toured the brand new school, and stopped in the library to pick up their own personal Chromebook. Leona Libby is a one-to-one school meaning each student receives a Chromebook for use at school and to take home at night.

The District has been transitioning from classroom CPU’s to student Chromebooks for the past several years. Chromebooks are affordable laptops ($245) with most applications and documents residing in the cloud. The District is utilizing 7,500 Chromebooks presently.
