Instrument Swap Saturday at Hanford High; instruments at affordable prices

Join the Hanford High School music department and Miss Tri-Cities Hannah Mowry (HHS graduate) at an Instrument Swap on Saturday, September 9, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, in the HHS Commons. Community members are invited to sell and buy used instruments by paying a small entrance fee.

“Students and parents will find music instruments at an affordable price,” says HHS music teacher Chris Newbury. “We thank Hannah for her support of music education and performing with us on Saturday.”
More details.....

People who are interested in selling an instrument will arrive at the HHS commons for check-in and setup between 9:00 and 10:00 am. It is $10.00 at the door to participate in the sale. This $10.00 serves as commission and the proceeds go towards the Hanford Music Association. Sellers must be present with their instrument for the duration of the sale. The seller determines the price of the instrument.

People who are interested in buying an instrument (or just want to come support) may come browse the event for free! Doors open at 10:00 am and close at 2:00 pm. Transactions happen directly between the buyer and the seller. There will be local experts to help assess instrument value and repair estimates.

Ted Brown Music in Richland has offered to do free repair estimates for instruments that have been purchased at the Instrument Swap. You must bring the instrument to the store and say that it was purchased at the event. Instruments purchased at the instrument swap are non-returnable.

There will be live music with Miss Tri-Cities and the HHS rhythm section at 12:00 pm. If at the end of the event, you have not sold your instrument, you may choose to donate it to Hanford Music Programs. If at any point you would like to give a flat donation, you may do so! Ask a volunteer at the event for assistance. See you there!
