Kelley Muntean, Hanford High art teacher, participated in the National Gallery of Art Teacher Institute in Washington, D.C., this summer. The six-day seminar focused on Art of the Renaissance. Muntean says the NGA Institute was the best professional development opportunity she has experienced.
“We were immersed in the Renaissance as world experts shared their knowledge through lectures, gallery tours, and demonstrations,” explains Muntean. “I left the Institute filled with not only a deeper knowledge and respect for the Renaissance, but also with a myriad of ideas to take back and share with my Hanford High students.”
