Then she spotted it, a baby owl resting in a tree at the Horn Rapids park near Richland. &amp;quot;It was really fuzzy,&amp;quot; said Alisha, 10, a few minutes later, still smiling.

The fifth-grader at Jason Lee Elementary in Richland was one of 1,500 pupils from across the Mid-Columbia at Benton Conservation District&amp;apos;s annual Salmon Summit.
