Summer is Productive
Summer 2008 was productive time
The Richland School District was a busy place during the summer of 2008. A large number of maintenance and cleaning projects were completed while teachers and students were on break. From painting and installing doors to refinishing gym floors and repiping boilers (see photo), virtually all summer projects were kept in-house.
"Our journeyman crafts people have the knowledge and skills to perform this work so it minimizes the need for outside contractors," explains Kevin Knodel, Director of Facilities and Operations. "This saves money for the District and, ultimately, our local taxpayers."
