Cavalcade of Authors
Getting creative was the theme of the first-ever Cavalcade of Authors hosted by Enterprise Middle School last spring. Seven northwest authors spent a full day talking to 70 District middle school students about writing.
One of those authors was Timothy Zahn, creator of the popular Dragonback series. He led sessions on how to find story ideas through brainstorming. "I want the students to stimulate their imaginations," Zahn said.
"The authors were a true inspiration to these aspiring, young writers," said Michelle Lane, Enterprise librarian and Cavalcade organizer. "It was an experience of a lifetime for the students to interact with seven published authors."
