Camp runs afternoons of the weeks of July 14 to 18 and July 21 to 25 at the HHS Auditorium Arts Complex in Richland. A fully orchestrated and costumed musical is produced and presented to the public. Professional arts teachers and advanced HHS Drama students instruct and mentor middle schoolers who love the theatre; we go beyond just acting and singing to teach theatre tech, stage combat, lights/sound, costuming, makeup/hair, show promotion, and Broadway style dance. All levels of talent/skill are encouraged to attend. Fee is $275, with scholarships and payment schedules available. Richland High School has one of the strongest softball programs in Washington State, having won 11 consecutive league titles, 3 of the past 6 years regional titles, and qualified for state 5 of the past 6 years. Head Varsity Coach, Casey Emery has conducted dozens of fastpitch skills clinic during his 14-year high school and ASA coaching career and believes best results are obtained by creating a positive and fun practice environment. ReddTree Ranch riding camp is for students entering grades 2 8. It is an introductory camp intended to teach students about riding and working with horses. In addition to riding each day, students will learn about what it takes to properly care for a horse and participate in other related activities. T-shirts are included with the tuition as are healthy snacks each day. Students wanting to continue are encouraged to schedule semi-private lessons rather than repeat the basic camp. Each instructors has 9+ years of equestrian experience and were involved in 4-H for 8 or more years. Students need to wear button front shirts, long pants and boots. Approved equestrian riding helmets are required. Helmets will be available for students who do not have access to one. Additional items students are encouraged to bring each day: Shorts, water bottle, sun block, light-weight shirt.
