9th grade pre-registration for WASL 2008
Students in grade 9 who elect to take the High School Washington Assessment of Student Learning (WASL) may use the form at: www.k12.wa.us/waslregistration to register for one or more portions of the March/April 2008 High School administration. Please note that students in grade 10 and students in grade 11 or 12 who have not passed the WASL already are registered for the test through their districts, so there is no need to use this form.
Testing at 9th grade is an option only extended to students who feel they are ready to meet the high school standards on the reading, writing, and/or mathematics WASL. These students may take the High School WASL with or without accommodations. Ninth grade students in special education programs who need to use an alternative assessment-WAAS-Portfolio, WAAS-DAW and WASL-Basic-need to wait until 10th grade to test.
To complete your online registration, please enter the following information, beginning with your 10-digit State Student Identification number (SSID). If you don't know your 10-digit SSID number, please contact your school district. If you need assistance, you may register via the toll-free telephone line (866) 400-WASL [(866) 400-9275] between 8 am and 5 pm, beginning December 10, 2007.
Online registrations for the March/April 2008 High School WASL will be accepted between December 10, 2007 and January 14, 2008.
