Helping students with dyslexia

Glenda Schlahta, Three Rivers HomeLink instructional support teacher, presented a workshop at the Washington Association for Learning Alternatives Conference March 3 in Stevenson. Schlahta’s presentation was titled Recognizing and Screening for Dyslexia.

“The focus was on how ALE schools can meet the needs of students who struggle with dyslexia,” explains Schlahta. “We need to be knowledgeable about curriculum and teaching strategies that can work for them.”
