Steach promoted to Assistant Superintendent October 09, 2009
The Richland School District announced this week that John Steach has been promoted to Assistant Superintendent. Steach is currently the District's Executive Director of Human Resources. He will continue to manage the District's Human Resources Department. In addition, he is taking oversight responsibility for Support Services, Financial Services and Legal Counsel during the transition to a new superintendent later this year.
Steach joined the Richland School District in 2004 as Executive Director of Support Services. He previously worked 15 years as an Operations Shift Manager for Fluor Hanford. He served on the Richland School Board from 1995 to 2003. "John has gained the respect of teachers, support staff and fellow administrators," said Superintendent Jean Lane. "His strong management, leadership and communication skills are a real asset to the Richland School District." Steach earned a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Washington State University Tri-Cities in 2005. He earned his superintendent and administrative credentials from Washington State University in 2007. He is currently finishing up work on a Doctorate in Education, also from WSU. |
